Tiffany & Haimchand’s West Indian Wedding at Ocoee Lakeshore Center

As a West Indian wedding photographer in Orlando, we loved spending two days with Tiffany and Haimchand at Ocoee Lakeshore Center, a lakeside venue on Starke Lake just west of downtown Orlando. Day one was all about tradition, with Tiffany in a yellow-gold lehenga. Day two was an American-style reception in white and black. Here is how their West Indian wedding came together.

A Two-Day West Indian Wedding at Ocoee Lakeshore Center

Many West Indian families celebrate over more than one day, and Tiffany and Haimchand kept both days at the same venue. That made things easy for their guests and gave us two completely different looks in one place: warm gold and greenery on day one, and crisp white and black by the water on day two. Ocoee Lakeshore Center has a lakefront lawn, a wedding garden, white railings and a gazebo, old oaks with Spanish moss, and bright indoor rooms with tall windows, so there is a new backdrop around every corner.

Day One: The Yellow-Gold Lehenga

For the first day, Tiffany wore a yellow-gold lehenga with a long, sheer dupatta and statement jewelry. We started in the wedding garden, where the pavers and soft greenery let the color of her outfit glow. As a West Indian wedding photographer in Orlando, we always make time for slow, detailed portraits on the traditional day: the bangles, the rings, the embroidery and the way the dupatta moves when the bride turns.

Tiffany wanted her portraits to feel elegant and calm, so we kept the poses simple and let the light do the work. A few spins on the garden path gave us movement, and close-ups of her hands and jewelry tell the story of the day as much as the wide shots do.

Day Two: An American-Style Reception in White and Black

On the second day the look changed completely. Tiffany wore a white gown with a long veil and pearls, and Haimchand wore a classic black tuxedo. Their reception was American in style, and the white-and-black palette looked timeless against the lake, the white railings and the green lawn.

The old oaks draped in Spanish moss are one of our favorite spots at this venue. They give soft shade on bright Florida days and a romantic, almost storybook feel to couple portraits.

Lakeside Portraits on Starke Lake

The lawn runs right down to the water, so we walked Tiffany and Haimchand to the shoreline for wide portraits with the lake behind them. The white gazebo and porch add clean lines that suit a white gown and black tux perfectly. As their West Indian wedding photographer in Orlando, we mixed wide frames that show the whole setting with close, quiet moments between the two of them.

Window Light Inside the Venue

Inside, the tall windows and wood floors fill the room with soft, even light. It is ideal for bridal portraits, especially if the weather turns or the sun is too strong outside. Tiffany’s gown and veil looked beautiful in this light, and the space let us create a calm, editorial set of portraits in just a few minutes.

Tips for a Multi-Day West Indian Wedding in Orlando

  • Plan a different look for each day, such as a traditional outfit on day one and a white gown and tux on day two, so your gallery has real variety.
  • Keeping both days at one venue, like Ocoee Lakeshore Center, saves travel time for your guests and gives your photographer time to find the best spots.
  • Leave 30 to 45 minutes for couple portraits each day, ideally in the softer light of late afternoon.
  • Ask your West Indian wedding photographer in Orlando to capture the details too: jewelry, bangles, the dupatta, rings and your bouquet.
  • Have an indoor plan for rain. The tall windows at Lakeshore Center are perfect for portraits if the weather changes.
