Amen & Shoaib’s South Asian Wedding at Signia by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Orlando
As a South Asian wedding photographer in Orlando, Florida, we were honored to photograph all three events of Amen and Shoaib’s South Asian wedding: the mehndi, the nikkah and the shaadi. Their celebration took place at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando, two neighboring luxury resorts just minutes from Walt Disney World.

The Mehndi
For the mehndi, Amen wore a pistachio and gold embroidered outfit with a red dupatta and floral jewelry, and Shoaib matched her in a soft grey sherwani. As their South Asian wedding photographer in Orlando, we loved how the boardwalks and green lawns at Bonnet Creek made a relaxed backdrop for their first portraits of the weekend.

The Nikkah
The nikkah was soft and romantic. Amen wore blush and ivory with a long embroidered dupatta, and Shoaib wore a crisp white kurta and waistcoat. They exchanged rings under a white and blush floral arch, then shared the mirror ceremony, aarsi mushaf, laughing as they saw each other in the mirror.

Shaadi Day: Getting Ready
On the shaadi day, Shoaib got ready in a black embroidered sherwani and turban by the window of his suite, while Amen wore a rich maroon and gold bridal lehenga with a sequined dupatta, a jhoomar and fresh white gajray on her wrists.

Shaadi Portraits and Reception

Maroon and black felt timeless against the resort gardens. After portraits, the couple took their seats on a white floral stage in the ballroom, surrounded by family for the rest of the evening.

Why Couples Choose Bonnet Creek for a South Asian Wedding
Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando sit side by side, so families can spread a multi-day South Asian wedding across both resorts: ballrooms for the shaadi, lawns and boardwalks for daytime events, and suites with beautiful window light for getting ready. Being close to Disney also makes it easy for guests who travel in for the weekend. Learn more on the official Bonnet Creek weddings page.
For any South Asian wedding photographer in Orlando, three events also means three very different looks. We plan each one around the light and the setting: open lawns and boardwalks in the afternoon for the mehndi, a floral arch outdoors for the nikkah, and soft window light in the suites before the shaadi. That way every gallery feels fresh while still telling one complete story of the wedding weekend.
