Noor K Photography

As an Indian wedding photographer in Miami, few celebrations capture my heart quite like Noor and Gagan’s Sikh destination wedding at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida. Set on the oceanfront between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, their day blended sacred tradition with the golden light of the South Florida coast.

From the energy of the baraat to the quiet, sacred beauty of the Anand Karaj, and on to a reception that filled the night with bhangra and laughter, every moment was a gift to photograph. Scroll on for a look at one of my favorite South Florida Indian weddings.

Getting Ready

The morning began slowly and beautifully, surrounded by the people who love Noor and Gagan most. Noor’s bridal look came together piece by piece — the red and gold lehenga, the layered jewelry, the maang tikka, and the chura sliding onto her wrists. Across the resort, Gagan was being readied too, his turban tied with care and pride. Those quiet, anticipation-filled moments before a Sikh wedding are some of my favorite frames to capture, because they hold so much feeling before the celebration even begins.

The Baraat and Milni

Then came the energy. Gagan’s baraat brought the spirit of a true Punjabi celebration to the South Florida coast. To the beat of the dhol, family and friends danced him toward his bride, the ocean breeze carrying the music across the resort grounds. The Milni followed, as both families came together with garlands, laughter, and warm embraces — the moment two families officially become one.

The Anand Karaj

At the heart of the day was the Anand Karaj. In the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib, Noor and Gagan completed the four laava, walking slowly around the holy scripture as each verse was sung. As an Indian wedding photographer in Miami, it is always a privilege to document this sacred ceremony with the quiet respect it deserves. Noor and Gagan’s was filled with emotion, devotion, and the gentle presence of everyone who came to bless them.

Oceanfront Portraits at The Diplomat Beach Resort

After the ceremony, we stepped outside for portraits along the water. The Diplomat Beach Resort gave us sugar-sand beaches, oceanfront terraces, and that warm golden Florida light — the perfect backdrop for a couple this radiant. From sweeping wide frames against the Atlantic to intimate close-ups, these are the images Noor and Gagan will return to for years. Oceanfront portraits like these are one of my favorite parts of working as an Indian wedding photographer in Miami.

An Unforgettable Reception

The night ended in pure celebration: a grand entrance, a heartfelt first dance, and a dance floor that never emptied. Bhangra, music, and family carried Noor and Gagan late into the evening, the ocean glittering just beyond the windows. It was the kind of joy that makes you grateful to do this work.

Capturing a Sikh wedding well takes more than a camera — it takes an understanding of each ritual and the families who hold it dear. If you would like to see more celebrations like this one, take a look at my wedding photography portfolio.
